Justify Protocols
The two protocols i decided to use is the ,sharing contact information and copy and pasting numbers from contact book and putting it into a text message, these are easy techniques to use because they're quick. They're quick because if you have 5 bars of signal you could send it through a text message but if you're somewhere that doesn't have a good signal it would be easier to send it through WI-FI.

How do protocols keep data safe?
Passwords for Wi Fi keep data safe because people cant get into your wi fi. Encryption means the activity of converting data or information into code.

If you take a photo from your mobile and send it threw a mms it will be quick, but the picture quality wont be as good and it would cost. If you do it with your digital camera and send it threw your USB to your laptop and put in a E-mail it would take longer but it cost nothing and the picture will be the best quality.
Unit 14 P4
He could send a picture using MMS but the picture would shrink and wouldn't be better quality, or he could take it with a digital camera and use a USB cord and send it threw a email on the laptop.

How do protocols keep data safe?
Protocols keep data safe by using passwords, like WI-FI you need a password to put in before you can use the internet access. For example you should change your password regularly so ifn a case that you do get hacked or someone discovers your password, you will still be safe and they can not do as much damage as they would have done if they knew it permanently. Be careful when you access your email or whatever you need to keep safe make sure you log out because some websites will leave you logged in for the future but someone else could access it.

WI-Fi - Stands for wireless broadband connection, the data transfer rate is up to 20 megabits per second, connects several computers at once, medium range network. You can send pictures, texts, videos, and it depends on what the signal strength is like.
3G - You can access the interent from phone broadband, the data transfer rate is 14.4 megabits per second. It can be used as all the same things for WI-FI depending on your phone broadband speed.
Bluetooth - Exchanging data over short distances, sends pictures, uses radio frequency to transmit data, very secure because you cannot hack it.
Sms and mms - MMS is multimedia message service and SMS is short message service, text messages that can be sent to mobile phoner, long range data transfer, mms is a extension of sms but with pictures and videos.
Infrared - IRDA protocol, line of sight and low bit error rate, very efficient, data transfer rate 115 kb/s.

Safety issues
Don't give out your password to anyone or your email address or username. If somebody happens to find out your password make sure you know how to change it and do it as soon as you can. Don't stay logged in when you leave the room, or people will mess around on it.

Threats and risks of using electronic communication.
Threats and risks of using electronic communication are,
your information off of Facebook or any other social networking sites and given
out to a lot of people. You could be cyber bullied by kids at school or any
other people, your pictures could be taken and posted on other sites around the
internet. Paedophiles could stalk you, people can send you dodgy links, like
telling you there something wrong with your bank account which results in you
putting your details in. You can get viruses on your pc/laptop by clicking on
things. Your account could be hacked by hackers they could find out your
password and username and terrorise your account.
p6
Advantages and dis-advantages of electronic communication.
The advantages of electronic communication is that you can Skype
people from anywhere on the globe, you can also get instant messages from all
of your friends and family. Also if your
doing a piece of work or revision you can edit it without starting again. You
can use different social networking sites like Facebook, twitter etc... which
means you can catch up with your friends and family, and instantly chat to them.
The dis-advantages of electronic communication are you can't have human contact, you can miss-understand things like i text message, you could take it the wrong way. It could be distraction to people at work, like if your bidding on something on eBay or you get a notification on Facebook you could pull out your phone and probably get sacked.

I think blogger is a affective way of communication because
you can get to it on your mobile phone, you can comment on friends work, if you
have them as a author, you can edit work so for example if you had a history
essay that you needed to make a change to you could just quickly edit it
instead of starting again. Also you can keep as much work on there as you can,
and you can choose what people you would like to see/comment on your work. Its
also easier for your teacher to mark your work and to tell you exactly what
your doing well or what your not doing. Its free, you can customise your own
blogger so its different to everyone else’s, and your work is completely safe.
